Lumber type: Choose between two different types of solid lumber. Rustic FIR is light in color, with small knots creating a unique pattern on each piece. Rustic Red Cedar has a slightly red hue amongst the knots and boasts a pleasant cedar aroma. All lumber options are 1 ⅜” thick to insulate the sauna room.

Door style: Outfit your sauna with one of the following three door options: glass, wood with a window, all-wood.

Heater: You can upgrade the Tranquil from the standard 4.5kW heater to a 6kW.

Ship-times can vary from season to season, and from model to model. Give us a call at 888-287-0111 or email sales@salussaunas.com to determine when your sauna is estimated to ship so you can begin planning for its delivery!

Our saunas ship either via LTL (less-than-truckload) carriers or dedicated flatbed rigs. In both cases, you will receive a notification when your sauna ships, as well as a call from the carrier to make arrangements for its delivery.

Please note that we will do our best to accommodate the delivery of your sauna around your busy schedule. However, we thank you in advance for being flexible with our driver’s rigid and pre-scheduled delivery timelines.

Traditional saunas require very little upkeep. Simply wipe down the interior after each use and check for any dust or debris that you may have tracked in. Read more about long-term care and maintenance here.

Heater and stones are essential to a traditional sauna experience. With the room at least heated to 160ºF, the traditional sauna can be enjoyed two ways. The first is called a dry sauna, which lacks any added moisture. The second is called a wet sauna, where you sprinkle water onto the heated stones to create a refreshing burst of steam and added humidity. Traditional indoor saunas use your existing floor, and the Tranquil is no exception. Read about suitable floor options here.

Some basic handyman skills are helpful when assembling the sauna. The only additional equipment needed is a cordless drill. Two people can generally do the assembly in 6 hours or less. It is recommended that you review the assembly manual in advance to familiarize yourself with the process.

This may not be your exact sauna but the build process is pretty much the same.
